Krill oil is an extract prepared from the species of Antarctic krill and is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids EPA, DHA， phospholipids, cholin, astaxanthin and small amounts of vitamins, minerals and flavonons. The polyunsaturated fatty acids in krill oil consist of phospholipids (mainly phosphatidylcholine) and triacylglycerols, which have a high affinity for polyunsaturated fatty acids in living organisms.

■Bioavailability

The high bioavailability of Richtek krill oil is mainly due to the fact that its components are in the form of phospholipids, which makes it easier to be absorbed by the body. The omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) in krill oil are in the form of phospholipids, a structure that is naturally hydrophilic and allows for rapid incorporation into cell membranes, thus improving absorption. In contrast, the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil are mainly in the form of triglycerides, which need to be digested by the liver before they can be absorbed by the body, resulting in a relatively low absorption rate.
