Nutrivitas®Algae-based vitamin D3 is means the Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) extract from 100% non-GMO algae oil, which is plant-based source instead of animal source (including lanolin). So we call this product is vegan vitamin D3.

Vitamin D3 is potent to optimal vitamin D levels faster. Vitamin D3, also known as Cholecalciferol, is the most common form of vitamin D in the human body. Nutrivitas®Algae-based vitamin D3 is a vegan solution of vitamin D3, with more bioavailable and hence better absorbed by the body than regular vitamin D.

There are two main types of vitamin D in the commercial market, one is vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol), while the other is Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). The main difference is vitamin D2 can be naturally found in plant sources like mushrooms, but only a few woods are naturally rich in vitamin D3. Therefore, the conventional vitamin D3 is extracted from lanolin, making it unsuitable for strict vegans or vegetarians.

The purest Nutrivitas®Algae-based vitamin D3 is crystal form, 100% pure and vegan. The production process of vegan Vitamin D3 crystal involves microalgae selecting, extraction and UV irradiation for Vitamin D3.

Nutrivitas®Algae-based vitamin D3 oil form, is paired with a vegan carrier oil, such as MCT oil, sunflower oil, olive oil etc..As vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, so dissolved the crystal of vitamin D3 from microalgae with carrier oil to optimize the benefit the D3.
